Lunar New Year 2011

Today is the 1st day of lunar new year.  As usual, every year this day, we will gather with my family for lunch.  This year instead of usual lunching at restaurant having tim sum and chinese dishes, we had it at Holiday Inn Orchard City Hotel for buffet lunch (which is something new for us). 

Before i share some photos on the lunch.  Lets look at our reunion dinner last nite which we had it at Paradise Inn @ Bedok Point.  This year is special because Ethan is able to join us for dinner, but after dinner he messed up the place with all the rice over the floor.  After this dinner, we don't think we will dine out again for reunion dinner, maybe because Paradise Inn is new in Bedok Point (just open in Jan 2011), everything was in a mess starting from waiting for our seat and waited quite long for dishes to be served.  We ordered a set menu of 6 course dinner for 4 persons but the portion is quite small and not so worth it for the price of $180.  Below are some of the picture of the dishes...

1st dish - salmon yu sheng (one of the best dish)

2nd dish - Braised Shark's Fin with dried scallop - lots of soup, hardly see shark fin & scallop

Chilled jelly fish & crispy fried prawns, steamed silver cod fish (taste the best but too small pc, not enough for 4 + 1 pax, seafood fried rice (not bad but too small portion)

Dessert - chilled hashima with red dates and dried longan (can easily count how many of each item)

Lastly not forgetting 1 glass of homemade barley for each of us - no barley taste, like plain water.

Next is our buffet lunch today which taste better than our dinner....

X'mas Party 2010

As yearly affair, my company held our x'mas party on 23 Dec 2010 and this year we are allowed to bring our kids to work.  For me, of course i brought Ethan to the party, i can see that he really enjoyed so much, here are some photos to share.....

Photo Shoot

Today we bring Ethan for his first studio photo shoot. As Ethan is a customer at BabySpa he will be given a free photo shoot consisting of 1 5R photo.

The studio at Goldhill Centre is actually a bridal studio. We were expecting the session to take at most 20 minutes, but it turn out much longer- about 1 and half hours with Ethan changing into three different outfits.

One of the reasons the shoot took so long was that the photographer had to reshoot numerous shots as Ethan being so young simply cannot keep still for long. I think he can only keep still for 2 seconds at most ! So the staff (photographer plus another two assistants) had to resorts to using various toys to keep his attention and make him smile.

Ethan's 1 yr old Birthday

Today is Ethan 1 yr old birthday (actual day).  We had a mini celebration for him at home.......

Once again, Happy Birthday to you my boy!  Hope you will grow up happy & healthy! Cheers!

Ethan's 1st Birthday Celebration

Today is a special day - Ethan very 1st birthday celebration!  This morning as usual Ethan wake up at 6.30am and so do i.  I look out of the window and saw that weather was fine, haze was not so bad, however still pray hard that it won't rain.

At about 9.30am, everybody are ready to go.  After dressing up Ethan, we took a taxi and head toward the cafe - the happening place!

Upon reaching the cafe, the staff were busy preparing for Ethan's party.  First they put up the banner which we specially purchase online....

Next the brunch buffet was set up.....

And finally the birthday cake! (Thanks to my brother who collected the cake for me)

The guests were impressed by the cake and we are also very satisfied, well done! Pine Garden.

Not forgetting BB's daughter piano performance - Thank you Jia Xuan for playing Birthday song & other nice nice tunes...
